As Marketing Director for Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV), I created an informational video to clearly communicate the organization’s mission of connecting veterans with meaningful employment opportunities. The project’s goal was to explain OJRV’s unique approach to helping veterans navigate the often confusing transition to civilian employment.

I wrote a script that articulated OJRV’s specialized services, including job readiness assessments and personalized employment preparation, while highlighting how the organization fills critical gaps in the standard Transition Assistance Program (TAP) offered by the Department of Defense. The art direction emphasized the veteran-staffed nature of the organization, showcasing the personal connections made between OJRV staff and the veterans they serve. Visual elements were carefully selected to illustrate the organization’s focus on veterans of all ability levels, with particular emphasis on their expertise in serving veterans with disabilities.

The video effectively communicated OJRV’s role as a bridge between veterans seeking employment and employers looking for skilled workforce candidates. Through strategic messaging and compelling visuals, the production conveyed the organization’s commitment to its long-term goal: ensuring every Hoosier veteran who wants a job gets one. This communication tool became an essential resource for explaining OJRV’s services to both potential veteran clients and employer partners throughout Indiana.
