Little Red Door Cancer Agency’s East Central Indiana chapter sought to strengthen their community impact and organizational effectiveness. As their strategic communications partner, I developed a comprehensive approach that extended beyond traditional marketing to transform their operations and community presence.
The engagement began with creating a fully integrated marketing strategy that revitalized the organization’s brand identity and messaging. This included developing a stronger digital presence through website enhancements and coordinated social media campaigns that effectively communicated their mission and services to the community. A key innovation was implementing new “Friend-Raising” initiatives focused on meaningful community engagement rather than traditional fundraising, resulting in deeper connections with constituents and more sustainable support networks.
Beyond communications, I provided organizational leadership by managing a team of 100 volunteers and facilitating board development. Through strategic coaching, I guided the board’s evolution from an advisory role to a working board actively engaged in events and volunteer activities. This cultural transformation increased board investment in the organization’s mission while expanding operational capacity through more effective volunteer management and deployment.
